Sustainable Contract Furniture

We are also serious about providing high quality sustainable furniture to the contract market place. From sustainable banquette seating options, to environmentally friendly finishes and materials, but we understand that ‘sustainable’ means something different to everyone.

We have a selection of sustainable products available with a number of different sustainable credentials – but our main goal is to work with you to fulfil your brief. Environmental Responsibility

As a company, we have worked hard to ensure that we have a minimum impact on the environment. This includes electric vehicles within our company fleet, solar power utilised across our sites, and biomass boilers used to heat the offices in the winter. We provide staff with EV charging and send zero waste to landfill.

We work with a number of organisations supporting both local and national incentives to ensure we are giving back to the community and reaching our sustainability goals. An example is of this is how we work with a local company to give a second life to furniture that would otherwise be sent to landfill, but instead is sold back into our local community to the public and businesses alike.

We are on a mission to reduce the amount of foam we use, and are looking at a range of ‘foam alternatives’ that can be used to supplement or replace foam within our banquette seating.

We also look at the other materials we use such as timber and metal to see how we can make these more sustainable – some of these are detailed below:

Sustainably Sourced Timber

All timber used by our production departments are sourced from reliable UK suppliers, all FSC approved and we have the option to source ‘Grown in Britain’ timber to ensure we can provide the Chain of Custody from the timber supplier right through to the production of furniture.

Sustainable Stains & Lacquers

We offer a range of sustainable and eco-friendly finishing options for our timber products; these include but are not limited to:

  • Water based stains and lacquers
  • Low VOC options
  • EU Ecolabel Certification

Fabrics & Leathers

We are proud to work with many sustainable fabric and leather houses in the UK. There are now many sustainable options for fabrics, including; recycled plastic bottles, flax, hemp, wool and more. We also work with UK base sustainable leather suppliers, that offer low carbon leather.

With the wide variety of options available, it can be a little confusing, so if you need help, our friendly team can assist.

Sustainable Faux Leather

Working with suppliers such as Sileather we can offer sustainable faux leathers manufactured from silicone. Utilising a non-solvent production method with no PVC or PU elements, Sileather is a much safer, and healthier alternative to other faux leathers.

Other Materials

We are able to create stunning items of furniture using materials such as Silicastone and smile plastics that can be made from up-to 100% recycled materials, making it an ideal material for table tops and detail panelling. Contact us for more details.
